The purpose of this document is to assist you in understanding  the capabilities of the system and the procedures to produce the results shown in the document.  If you choose you can modify and add people, events, etc. to the existing information.  This document will not cover all of the capabilities of the system but is a good tool to start with.

1.0  Output Available to View:

1.1 Ancestor Charts:  There are several types of Ancestor charts to view.  I've shown an example of type in section 1.1 through 1.5.

 

1.1.1 Standard Ancestor Chart:  This is a "Standard" ancestor chart.  The system allows you to choose the number of generations to view.  If a picture is attached to an individual it will be to the left of the person's name.

1.1.2 Compact Ancestor Chart:  This chart is similar to the standard chart except the pictures aren't visible and it takes less space.

1.1.3 Box type Ancestor Chart:  This chart will print out information for each individual such as Date of Birth, Date of Death, and Date of Marriage.

1.1.4 Text Ancestor Chart:  This type of chart does not have the boxes but does have more information such as place of birth.

1.2.1 Standard Descendant Chart - Collapsed:  This chart will show the descendants of the selected person.  The "+" beside a person name as shown by Margaretha's name means there is additional information.  Section 1.7 shows the chart when it's expanded.
